Getting Started

Ceiling

Painters commonly start with the ceiling to avoid excess paint dripping on walls. Using a roller, paint across the short width of the ceiling for a smoother, more even finish

Wall

Start with the edges before painting the broad wall surface

Window or Door

It is advisable to begin by masking the areas that you wouldn't want the paint on. This includes the hinges, knobs or latches. For windows, paint the inner frame first followed by the outer one. When painting doors, begin with the borders and follow through with the panels, horizontal and vertical segments, and finish off with the edges
